The American University of Madaba


The American University of Madaba (AUM) is located in the middle of nowhere. It's completely fenced in, so when you enter the complex it feels like you've walked into a totally different world. The school is still brand new and has a long way to go before it is a fully operational university, but I believe it has the potential to be an excellent facility in a few years. 




The students are what makes the university such a great place to study. I have never met so many fun and friendly people in my life as I have in my short time at AUM. Without a doubt, they will be what I miss the most about Jordan.

    Hello, I am looking at your blog as an assignment for my Arab Culture class at DePaul University and its funny that I stumbled upon this because we just hosted the President of the American university in Madaba at our uni! I am president of the Arabic Language and Culture Club here and our club hosted the event. It was an honor having him and he is such a kind man. Enjoy your stay! - Shourouk
